Bernie Dupre

John (Bernie) Dupre, Jr., a Louisiana native, has been on Captiva since 2009. In addition to his home on Captiva, he also maintains a home in Hailey, Idaho. 

A graduate of the LSU Law Center, Bernie later ventured into the oilfield services industry with his family. Dupre Energy Services grew to include several companies, including Dupré Supply, Dupré Valve and Automation, Dupré International, Dolphin Equipment and CSI Inspection. He currently manages energy industry investments and serves on the board of Dupre Energy Services and KSW Oilfield Rentals. He has been active in philanthropy including helping launch the Community Foundation of Acadiana, the building of a community library in his hometown of Port Barre, LA in honor of his father and in the building of a lower school library at the Episcopal School of Acadiana in Lafayette, LA in honor of his mother.
